- Where it grows: plant it in the ground or in a 18 inch or larger pot on a terrace, balcony or courtyard. It needs 5 or more hours of light a day and soil that drains freely.
- Time to first harvest: about 2 to 3 years from planting. Let the plant build a strong frame first and pick off the very earliest flowers, and the crop grows bigger every year after that.
- Care after delivery: keep it out of direct sun for 7 to 10 days, water as soon as it arrives, then move it to a bright spot. Water again when the top of the soil feels dry to a finger.
