- What you get: one healthy Pomegranate plant, about 1-2 feet tall, supplied in a poly bag without a pot and packed in a ventilated box. Well rooted and ready to plant.
- About the fruit: juicy ruby arils inside a firm skin. Season is September to February. Pomegranate is drought-tolerant, pot-friendly and fruits within a season or two of planting.
- Where it grows: plant it in the ground or in a 16 inch or larger pot on a terrace, balcony or courtyard. It needs 6 or more hours of light a day and soil that drains freely.
- Time to first harvest: about 1 to 2 years from planting. Let the plant build a strong frame first and pick off the very earliest flowers, and the crop grows bigger every year after that.
- Care after delivery: keep it out of direct sun for 7 to 10 days, water as soon as it arrives, then move it to a bright spot. Water again when the top of the soil feels dry to a finger.
