Perfect for fixing stubborn doors and fitting wood. This power planer’s 3.8-amp motor delivers over 32,000 cuts per minute to your workpiece, slicing away any irregularities until the surface of your boards are aligned and smooth. With a cutting width of 2-3/8 inches and a maximum cutting depth of 1/16 inch, you’ll have the perfect companion for fitting and squaring boards. The 9 positive stops increase in increments of 1/128 inch anywhere from 0 all the way up to 1/16 inches. The base plate shoe even includes two v-shaped grooves for easily flattening and shaping sharp post corners. The base’s kickstand protects both the blade and the workpiece in between uses, keeping the blade elevated and out of contact from the surface of your project. The included blade-change wrench has an onboard storage slot at the back of the planer for maximum convenience. And, because this is a WEN Product, your 2-3/8 Inch Electric Hand Planer comes backed by a two-year warranty, a friendly customer help line, and a nationwide network of skilled service technicians. Remember when you had a reliable planer that lasted for years? Remember WEN.
Remember WEN?
We've been designing and distributing high-quality and affordable power tools for decades. Founded by Nick Anton back in 1951, WEN originally made its mark by helping bring tools and electricity together (putting the power into power tools). Our research and development team played a vital role in helping to develop a variety of common everyday tools such as the chainsaw, the electric soldering gun, the electric jigsaw, the electric engraver, and the knife and wet wheel sharpeners. WEN even pioneered random orbital technology – the technology seen in most polishers, waxers, and buffers today that gives cars everywhere the streak-free shine they deserve.
Since then, our expertise has expanded to encompass a wide variety of products, including drill presses, lathes, bench grinders, nailers, miter saws, hand tools, generators, and cordless power tools, to name a few. By 2001, only 50 years after our humble beginnings, we had already sold over 50 million consumer units. By 2021, we had sold nearly 80 million. Today, WEN's headquarters can be found in West Dundee, Illinois. Our goal is to help woodworkers, DIYers, and artisans across the world execute their wildest imaginations.
